Man detained over prime mover accident
A man who allegedly killed a passenger in a freight train has been arrested.
A postmortem examination is scheduled to be completed shortly into Friday but police are questioning the 35-year-old woman who was travelling between Melbourne and Brisbane.
The woman is in hospital with serious injuries and said she didn't know the passenger died.
She did not wish to comment.
On Friday afternoon the man who died was taken to the State Health Department in Brisbane with life-threatening injuries.
He was taken to the hospital by ambulance and is in an intensive care unit.

New technology behind rise in stalking in victoria police say it has reduced harassment and aggression.
Police Chief Joseph E. Spano told a meeting of the group of law enforcement officials Wednesday that online stalking of women could be eliminated in time because of the "digital divide" in technology and society.
Espano noted that since 2011 a cyberstalking victim in western Massachusetts was able to turn online communications between the aggressor and victim to help her.
The chief said that while it's possible to report cyberstalking, "it's important to maintain trust and avoid being an online slut to protect yourself."
Spano said that the state police's technology has improved with digital surveillance, but he could not immediately say if the department had successfully eliminated the problem.
"As technology advances, we have to understand it in a new and different way," said Chief Spano, who took over the top role as police chief in 1999. "This is not a race with digital technology," he said.
Espano acknowledged the increase in violence during the Christmas holiday, but he said the department's approach to cyberstalking, which is defined by the court-appointed monitor, is to investigate and respond to the crime.
"The real problem is the victim and her victimizations," the chief said. "It's not who the cyberstalker is or who the victim wants to be. It's who the victim is perceived to be."
The chief made the comments before a crowd of about 100 to 300 people at the Springfield State Police headquarters in Springfield.
The chief made his comments two days after the Springfield man was charged in a case where officers arrested a 23-year-old man for making sexual comments on Twitter and posting nude photos to Twitter.
In his remarks, Eplano said there have been "too many cases <in>which] the victim was victimized but the perpetrator didn't receive the consequence or consequences that the law requires."
He said online harassment is another problem, and it can escalate into stalking.
"There needs to be some action to change the paradigm of the community by changing the culture of law enforcement, and we need to be doing it quickly.... We need to develop new means and equipment," the chief said.
Spano said the police department is making use of social media as well as other services such as email in its investigation of stalking cases.
Spano said that officers have a "tendency" to send messages to victims, saying the agency doesn't want to be "the one telling the victim" about the potential consequences.
